Scot Dallas in charge of Cyprus referees

first_imgHugh Dallas has been appointed by the Cyprus Football Association to train and oversee local football referees.The Scotsman, a former international referee himself, officiated the 1998 and 2002 World Cup finals.In August 2014, Dallas was appointed Chief Refereeing Officer in Greece’s Super League. But in November, he criticised the arbitration of Ilias Spathas (one of many refs involved in the 2015 Greek football scandal) after a match involving Olympiakos, as the ‘worst he has ever seen’ saying that the mistakes were not normal.
