Monitor studies to ensurethat all protocols are followed and status reporting, billing, andother regulatory components are performedcorrectly.Monitor a psychologicalintervention for a complex multi-site clinical study and workclosely with research subjects to complete the intervention. Workdirectly with research subjects to systematically conductstandardized psychophysical, electrophysical, behavioral, andpsychological assessments and maintain records oftesting.A variety ofcomputer-controlled laboratory sensory testing devices will beused, including thermal sensory analyzers, algometers, von freyfilaments, cold water baths, etc. Coordinate with other staff toensure tests are conducted at specifictime-points.Has frequent/regular contact with research subjectsand a variety of medical professionals. The position The positionreports directly to the laboratory manager or studyinvestigator.Specific Duties& ResponsibilitiesCoordinate staff and resources required for studyprocedures. Ensure completion of interventions, study measures andinstruments.Conduct candidate telephone screening to determineeligibility.Recruit subjects and implement recruitmentprocedures. Verify patient eligibility for studies by comparingpatient history and clinical laboratory results with protocolrequirements. Confirm patient registrations and relevant datapoints in databases.Explain study procedure to participants and obtaininformed consent.Use software to manage, track and report flow ofsubjects through protocols.Handle relevant subject biological specimens andfollow protocol requirements.Verify scheduling of patient appointments, tests, andfollow‑up visits at the appropriate time in the treatment cycle toensure completion of protocol requirements.Scheduletransportation for study volunteers visits asneeded.Design and compile materials to aid Investigators andother staff in complying with protocolrequirements.Conduct standardizedpsychophysical, electrophysical, behavioral, and psychologicalassessments and maintain records of testing.Use equipment related to blood draws includes IVlines, needles, vials, and various other processing equipment andsupplies. Teach subjects how to use a variety of study equipmentused for ambulatory monitoring.Ensure timely data entry, check for accuracy, andensure proper storage of data.May be required to supervise volunteers and studentsperforming data entry.Work closely with data manager to assist in qualitycontrol procedures.Assist with regulatorywork across studies, including IRB, DSMB, ClinicalTrials.gov andother required submissions and reporting.Assist with preparation for monitoring and audits ofstudies. May correct errors in database when necessary. May writeresponses to audit reports with input from the PrincipalInvestigator.Prepare and distribute summary reports for researchmeetings. Coordinate and notify study team members of studymeetings and tasks needing completionDesign and create protocol‑specific case report formsas needed.Coordinate researchprotocols with investigators and external research colleagues formulti-site studies.Maintain good working knowledge of all assignedprotocols and reporting requirements.
