Geek deals 550 off Lenovo IdeaPad Y460p Core i7

first_imgThere is a nice deal floating around the web right now on the Lenovo IdeaPad Y460p. Lenovo is best know for their business-focused ThinkPads, but their consumer-centric IdeaPads have become pretty solid computers so this might be one to investigate if you are in the market. The Y460p is a Sandy Bridge-powered system with a 14-inch display and a handsome metallic exterior. It has that second gen Core i7 quad-core processor that all the hot 2011 laptops will be packing as well as AMD Radeon HD 6550M graphics (1GB). That’s DirectX 11-capable for you gamers out there.Lenovo’s RapidDrive is an option if you want something that will decrease boot up time and make the drive feel faster overall. Lenovo has an excellent explanation of RapidDrive here if you want to learn more. The system can hold up to 8GB of RAM and has a set of JBL speakers on board. The regular price for the Y460p is a steep $1449, but with the $550 discount (38% off if you haven’t done the math yet) it will come out to $899. It’s no impulse buy, but it’s a lot of computer for the money. As for an aesthetic perk, the Y460p has a metal exterior with a brushed texture and then the choice of two different interiors, either grey or white. As you can see above, it’s a nice looking computer (not quite the HP Envy though).Buy the Y460p from Logic Buy.last_img read more
