Local Area Office: 902-863-7378 CAPE BRETON REGIONAL MUNICIPALITY: Highway 125 Part of Exit 7 on Highway 125 will have a one-lane closure for construction of a new bridge until Aug. 31, 2012. Local Area Office: 902-563-2518 PICTOU COUNTY: Porter Road Bridge Porter Road Bridge, 80 metres south from Elmfield Road, will be closed to replace timber deck and broken timer beams from Monday, Nov. 7, until Thursday, Nov. 10. Work takes place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Local Area Office: 902-893-6194 GUYSBOROUGH COUNTY: Lane Closures, Canso Causeway Traffic on Highway 104 on the Canso Causeway will be reduced to one lane from sunset to sunrise for guardrail installation and shoulder improvements. Traffic control staff and a pilot vehicle will guide drivers safely through the construction zone. Work is scheduled for completion on Thursday, Dec. 15. Please drive with extra care and patience during the construction period. A pilot vehicle and traffic control people will be on site. A two-lane detour bridge is in place until a permanent bridge is built. The speed limit has been reduced to 60 km/h and warning signs are in place. Local Area Office: 902-533-2771 VICTORIA COUNTY: MacLeod Angus Bridge Traffic on the MacLeod Angus Bridge in South Harbour over the South Aspy River on the Cabot Trail, is reduced to one lane until further notice. Traffic signals are in place at the bridge. Local Area Office: 902-383-2232 COLCHESTER COUNTY: Highway 104, Westbound Lanes The westbound lanes of Highway 104 in the Kemptown area are reduced to one lane from Exit 18 to Exit 18A for repaving and widening. Work will take place until Tuesday, Nov. 15 Drivers should travel with extra caution in the area. One is about 70 metres west of the Exit 27A intersection. To access Trunk 4, use this temporary intersection. The other intersection is on School Road in front of East Pictou Middle School. To access School Road, including F. H. MacDonald Elementary School and East Pictou Middle School, use this temporary intersection.
